Local Unions Dig Deep for Labor Night at the Nats

(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)Three local unions -- AFGE 3615, Iron Workers 5, and ATU 689 -- have each purchased 500 tickets to Labor Night at the Nats and earned themselves the honor of picking someone to throw out the first pitch, meet with the managers, or call “play ball.” There’s still time to get in on the action, with $10 tickets that help support the Community Services Agency’s Emergency Assistance Fund. Locals or organizations that purchase 50 tickets or more will get their name up on the big screen.
