Poor Peoples Campaign March Hits the Road This Weekend

(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)Commemorating the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.’s Jobs and Freedom March, the 2013 Poor People’s Campaign March will kick-off this Saturday. Union members, students, and other activists from across the country will march over the weekend from Baltimore to Washington, arriving in the nation’s capital on Sunday afternoon for a People’s Power Assembly in Freedom Plaza.
