"No Confidence" in Chief, Say DC Fire Fighters

(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)DC fire fighter’s dissatisfaction with their boss flared up last Monday night when the DC Fire Fighters union’s board of directors passed a vote of "no confidence" in D.C. Fire and EMS Chief Kenneth Ellerbe. The 1,800 members of IAFF Local 36 will vote on the motion later this month. The fire fighters “are tired of being blamed for management’s failures,” says IAFF 36 President Ed Smith. “We resent being blamed for the failures of the current administration to provide the necessary tools to do our job.
