Williams Joins Airports Authority Board(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)In a unanimous vote, the DC City Council yesterday confirmed Metro Council President Jos Williams (right) to serve on the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Board of Directors. Williams is replacing former D.C. Councilman H.R. Crawford on the Board, which oversees Dulles International and Washington National Airports, as well as the $6 billion Dulles Rail project. “Updating infrastructure and maintaining it, as well as completing the Dulles Metrorail Extension on-time and on-budget, are critical tasks” says Williams. “I would like to thank Mayor Gray and the City Council for their expression of trust in my abilities to represent the interests of the District of Columbia and I look forward to being an advocate for workers on the Board."
