DCNA to Hold Holiday Picket at HUH

(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)With Howard University Hospital (HUH) management continuing to delay contract negotiations, DCNA will hold a holiday picket in front of the hospital on December 24. Not only are HUH nurses struggling to get to the bargaining table, managers at HUH “are, on a consistent basis, violating the current collective bargaining agreement” says DCNA Staff Attorney Ed Smith. The action is part of a long-running fight for a new contract ("Another Union to Picket Howard," UC 10/2/2012). Smith urges community members to “attend, even for a few minutes,” adding, "you may even see Santa Claus there!" Check the DC Labor calendar for any updates leading up to the action.
