Standing With Workers, Responding To Sandy(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)

In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy the power is still out for some areas of the East Coast, houses are flooded, and families are stranded and unable to communicate. “It’s moments like this that remind me why I take such pride in America’s workers,” says AFL-CIO president Rich Trumka. “We help each other. And in times of crisis, we stand shoulder-to-shoulder so that we can rebuild stronger communities together.” Click here to sign a thank you card to the heroic workers fighting to rebuild communities up and down the East Coast. The card will be delivered this Thursday to let them know how many people are grateful for their work. Thanks can be shared online, too, via Facebook and Twitter.
