Labor GOTV Finish Line In Sight(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)It’s all about getting out the vote now. The metro-area labor movement continues to hit the phones and doors today and tomorrow as the 2012 elections wrap up after an action-packed year. “The finish line is in sight,” said Metro Council president Jos Williams. “We’ll make it if everyone can step up just one more time, whether it’s on the phonebanks, doorknocking or data entry. Click here for the latest metro-area labor GOTV calendar. “Every single vote counts, whether it’s for President of the United States right on down to statewide referenda in Maryland and Question B in Montgomery County,” added Council Political Coordinator Rick Powell. Check out our handy 2012 Labor Voter Guide for details, plus the MD Endorsed Referenda and details on the MD Position Opposing Question B. “Whatever the results tomorrow night, we’re ready to get right back to work fighting for working families,” said Williams. - photo: handing out NOVA Labor Walk packets Saturday; photo by Chris Garlock
