Awareness Month this Saturday, October 27 with

IBEW 26’s “Big
Entrance into Northern VA”: The
latest edition of IN
Charge, IBEW Local 26’s
quarterly magazine, is chock-full of
fascinating stories and photos. The cover
story, “Making a Big Entrance into Northern
VA” (page 8) describes how more than 200 IBEW
Local 26 members are working to complete Phase
I of the Silver Line in the largest expansion
project since Metro first opened its doors in
1976, bringing Metro even farther out into the
Virginia suburbs and improving access to Dulles
Airport. “The work of the Local 26 crew
has been challenging and difficult, but
rewarding,” according to the article. And
“Local 26 Members Enjoy Labor Night at the
Nats” (page 34) describes how dozens of Local
26 members and their families were able to
“take advantage of deeply discounted tickets
and support a good cause at the same time,”
maybe just shorten to with proceeds going to
the Metro Washington Council’s Community
Services Agency (CSA). Download
the IN Charge PDF for these and
other reports.
