Labor FilmFest Preview: Free Noontime Screenings Thursday & Friday(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)The 12th annual DC Labor FilmFest kicks off with two free noontime screenings this Thursday and Friday at the AFL-CIO. We’ll raffle off FilmFest t-shirts and free FilmFest passes; bring your lunch!

Thu, Oct 11, noon (AFL-CIO): Special Free Screening: "Roll on Columbia" (Woody Guthrie Centennial)
The amazing story behind Woody Guthrie’s American folk classics like Roll On Columbia, Jackhammer Blues, Pastures of Plenty, and Grand Coulee Dam. 

Fri, Oct 12, noon (AFL-CIO): Special Free Screening: "We Are Wisconsin"
Inspiring documentary follows the dramatic day-to-day development of the 2011 uprising against Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker’s attack on collective bargaining. Co-presented by AFSCME and introduced by Paul Booth, Executive Assistant to AFSCME President Lee Saunders. Booth led the establishment of the "Labor Unity Table", the labor movement's coordinated campaign defending workers’ rights against attacks in state legislatures. He also served as an advisor on "We Are Wisconsin."
