Support Your Local Labor FilmFest(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)

It’s not too late to support this year’s DC Labor FilmFest; the deadline for ads in the FilmFest program guide has been extended through this Friday, September 7. Click here for the 2012 ratesheet for FilmFest sponsor ads and email cgarlock@dclaborarchives.org to reserve space. “We’ve just finalized this year’s schedule,” reports FilmFest Director Chris Garlock, “14 terrific labor-themed films, from documentaries like special free noontime screenings of We Are Wisconsin and Roll On Columbia (in celebration of the Woody Guthrie Centennial) to classics like Humphrey Bogart in Black Legion and the musical The Pajama Game, as well as comedies like the ever-popular Office Space.” Look for an announcement soon of the full schedule. “We’re counting on sponsor support to make our 12th-annual Labor FilmFest a success again this year,” Garlock added.
