Activists Contact City Council in Countdown to Woodson Vote(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)Community and labor activists are moving fast to demand the DC City Council oppose the nomination of anti-union, anti-DC resident Rod Woodson to the Water and Sewer Authority (WASA) Board of Directors before tomorrow's anticipated vote. With experience lobbying against DC workers' interests in the “DC Accrued Sick and Safe Leave Act,” the “Living Wage Act,” the Project Labor Agreement at Nationals' Stadium, and the “First Source Act," Woodson "made his stance against District workers abundantly clear" says Metro Council President Jos Williams.
