Labor Photo: The Return of the Women of Walmart
Monday, June 25, 2012
(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)Last week activists commemorated the one-year
anniversary of the largest class action law
suit in U.S. history: Dukes v. Walmart. The
case centered on female Walmart employees who
said that Walmart discriminated against them.
On June 20, 2011 the Supreme Court ruled
against the women, saying that women who had
been employed by Walmart did not constitute a
class. -
