"We're Not Broke" Film Explains How Nation Was Robbed

(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)The Sundance-nominated film “We’re Not Broke” screens Monday (6:30p, Arlington County Library Central) as part of a nation-wide “Fair Share Tour”. “For years, Americans have been fed the false narrative that our nation has gone broke, when in reality we’ve been robbed,” say organizers Progressive Congress and Members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus. “From the true origins of the financial meltdown to corporate tax evasion, the tour and film go deep inside the secret world of corporate greed to highlight the information that every American needs to know to help change “politics-as-usual” in Washington and jumpstart our country’s economy.” Rep. Jim Moran (D-VA) will host the free screening with Rebecca Wilkins, Senior Counsel, Federal Tax Policy, Citizens for Tax Justice.
