Friday Deadline for 3-Day Organizing Institute for APA members

(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)There’s a new opportunity for Asian Pacific American (APA) union members looking to hone their organizing skills or dive into union organizing work. Applications are now being accepted for the three-day Organizing Institute that the Asian Pacific American Labor Alliance (APALA) and the AFL-CIO are holding in DC June 29-July 1; deadline for applying is this Friday, June 22. “It’s boot camp for social change” says 2008 APALA OI participant Will Nguyen of the intensive training, which gives participants the chance to learn from some of the most seasoned APA organizers from across the country.
