Labor FilmFest Offers Discount for Program Ads

(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)Since 2001 the DC Labor FilmFest has screened over 150 films about work and workers – documentaries, dramas and even comedies (like Made In Dagenham, at left) – bringing directors, stars, workers and activists together in this annual cinematic celebration of the struggle for economic and social justice. Planning for this year’s festival – scheduled for October 9-14 – is now underway and supporters are doing their part by reserving space in the FilmFest program guide. Earlybird supporters get a 20% discount for ads; those already signed up include OPEIU Local 2, Sheet Metal Workers Local 100, UFCW Local 400, Zwerdling, Paul, Kahn & Wolly, PC and Jobuntu: Tech Support for Humans.
