New IUEC Contract Ratified

(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)IUEC members across the country have a new contract for the next five years. Before it could be accepted nationally all effected locals, including Metro Council affiliate Local 10, voted on the contract. Jim Lowery, IUEC Local 10 Business Manager, reported that Local 10 was “overwhelmingly in favor of accepting the new agreement,” which will raise wages locally and nationally for members. - photo of contract ratification (Lowery is at center in white) courtesy of IUEC
