Labor Seder Tix Still Available

(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)The voices of local immigrant workers will be heard this Sunday at Jews United for Justice’s annual Labor Seder. Each spring, the Labor Seder brings together the Jewish, activist, labor, and nonprofit communities to celebrate the freedom story of the Exodus by connecting it to present-day labor and social justice struggles in the DC Metro area. Space is still available but it’s filling up fast for this year’s seder, which will focus on “Immigrant Roots, Immigrant Rights,” highlighting the DC Metro area’s diverse immigrant communities and the employment and workplace struggles they face. As always, the seder will feature food, music, and the voices of local workers, activists, and rabbis discussing and celebrating their shared commitment to economic and employment justice. – photo of 2011 Labor Seder attendees by Chris Garlock
