Last Week’s Quiz: Knights of Labor Grand Master Workman Terrence V. Powderly served three two-year terms as mayor of Scranton, Pennsylvania representing the Greenback-Labor Party beginning in 1878. He went on to be appointed U.S. Commissioner General of Immigration from 1897 to 1902, and was Chief Information Officer for the U.S. Bureau of Immigration from 1907 to 1921.
