(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)“Our region, and [Prince George's] County in particular, need more good jobs that pay family-sustaining wages and benefits” Metro Council President Jos Williams testified last week in Annapolis on Senate Bill 892 - a proposal for the construction of a casino in Prince George’s County’s National Harbor. “What this bill has the potential to produce, if approved, is good jobs in the construction and operation of a casino at National Harbor.” “We’re talking about something that will spur development,” Prince George’s County Executive Rushern Baker told the Washington Business Journal on Friday. “That is an entertainment attraction not only for the county, but the state and the whole Washington region.”
