Over 30 people turned out early
Thursday morning in Northwest DC to protest
construction of the District's first Walmart. Occupiers from Occupy DC blocked
two trucks from
entering the
site, at Georgia Avenue and Missouri, delaying the morning’s construction,
while members of Ward 4 Thrives handed out fliers to passersby. Another action at the same site is planned for next
Tuesday,
with more to follow.
