(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)Described as “a stunning performance you won’t be able to take your eyes off of,” Can’t Scare Me: the Story of Mother Jones returns to DC this weekend for four final shows. Award-winning actress Kaiulani Lee brings labor icon Mother Jones to stunning life in this brave new work about the formative days of the American labor movement. Called "the most dangerous woman in America," Mother Jones "educated, agitated and organized" ceaselessly on behalf of child laborers, coal miners, steel workers and working people across the country. Through an artful blend of history, biography and a liberal dose of Mother Jones' famous wit, Can't Scare Me is a riveting, passionate and fiery solo performance. Lee has arranged with the theater to make half-price tickets available to union members for all four shows. Click here for details. - photo courtesy of Todd Messegee/DC Theatre Scene
