Valentines with Justice

(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)Expand your idea of that certain special person to include area caregivers this Valentine's Day, suggests DC Jobs with Justice. Jobs with Justice is inviting community members to celebrate caregivers in their community while supporting DCJWJ at a special Valentine’s Day fundraiser. “We all have caregivers in our lives” says DCJWJ Solidarity Organizer Lillian Walker Shelton. "These are people like parents, grandparents, teachers, and mentors, who have taken the time to nurture us into the people we are today.” Featured activities at Friday’s event are valentine-making, a cupcake sale and story-telling for youngsters, all to support DC Jobs with Justice.
